Project: Lurie Garden, Millennium Park Design Mapping
This project involved mapping, drafting and layering various groups of design information into one electronic format, providing a way to combine information and make updates, historical documentation capability, and a web-friendly format for posting plant location information to the website for the public. These images show the bulb, perennial and tree plans.
Project: Syngenta Seeds Pack Trial Coordination
From 2004-2006, I acted as a Project Manager for an annual industry event called “Pack Trials” in northern California that was realized over three weeks, and involved eight months of planning. These designs, which I researched, drafted, coordinated and implemented, highlight the company’s new product lines.
Project: Pack Trial Landscape Design
Another aspect of the Pack Trial event involved designing the landscape surrounding the Gilroy, California Syngenta office, so that customers had a chance to view products in an outdoor landscape setting.
Project: Pack Trial Planting Design
An additional aspect of the Pack Trial event involved designing and implementing over 150 combination planters to display the flexibility of our products relative to our customers’ retail programs. These are some of my designs using annuals.
Residential Planting Design (in progress)
Currently, I am bidding out a residential landscape job in the western suburbs, which involves refreshing an overly mature landscape with plant choices that ideally provide year-round interest through color and texture. Through research and my first-hand experiences with top-performing plants at the Lurie and Chicago Botanic Garden, cultivars were selected based on soil type, deer resistance, availability, light and maintenance requirements and ornamental value.
